Microbiological
Our testing encompasses the full spectrum of microbiology, including aerobic plate count, antimicrobial effectiveness testing, and yeast and mold testing. Consultations are also available for preservative system choices as well as water system evaluation and microbiological trouble shooting.
- Aerobic Plate Count
- Yeast and Mold Count
- Microorganism Identification - Microorganism cultures isolated from products and environment can be identified using state-of-the-art instrumentation, such as the Vitek® and API system and Microscopic Identification of Molds.
- Water Testing:
- Total Heterotrophic Count by Membrane Filtration
- Total Heterotrophic Count by Pour Plate Method
- Pseudomonas count
- Total and Fecal Coliform
Antimicrobial Preservative Effectiveness Testing- Antimicrobial Preservative Effectiveness testing is performed to demonstrate the ability of preservatives to protect products from microbiological growth. A validation of the test for each product must be performed to prove that bacteriostatic and fungi static effects are not observed. BioScreen offers combined procedures to meet requirements of several monographs. Additional microorganisms can be added and modified procedures can be performed at the customer's request.
- Per United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
